Criminal Justice Reform Initiative: News & Events

Now is the time to reimagine the criminal justice system. The Aspen Institute’s new Criminal Justice Reform Initiative’s mission is to amplify and uplift policy and systems changes aimed at reducing mass incarceration within state and local jurisdictions through addressing the entire criminal justice continuum. We will curate ongoing discussions with formerly incarcerated individuals, researchers, advocates, and policymakers in the field; create a Justice Network of local jurisdictions across the US; and promote usage of the Justice Audit, a new approach for accountability and change.
