Samantha Cherry

Associate Director, Communications and Community Engagement, Aspen Global Leadership Network

Samantha (Sam) is the Associate Director, Communications and Community Engagement, for the Aspen Global Leadership Network (AGLN) at the Aspen Institute. In this role, she elevates the impact of the AGLN and its Fellowships and engages its community of Fellows through strategic storytelling, content, and brand extension experiences. This includes acting as the editor of the monthly AGLN Bulletin, head producer of the program’s LIMINAL podcast, and leading virtual events and broadcasts. Previously, Samantha served as a Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications for the Leadership Division at the Institute, supporting the Executive Seminars department in content creation and lead generation strategies as well as Weave: the Social Fabric Project on social media campaigns and special initiatives like the Weaver Awards.

Samantha earned a BA in Political Communications at the George Washington University where she grew her passion for multi-media production and storytelling. Before joining the Institute, she supported GWU’s eDesign Shop in producing online academic course content for students around the world.

She lives in Los Angeles, CA where you can catch her spending time outdoors (hiking or skiing) and seeing as much live music as she can.
